How heavy is polymer clay?

Polymer clay is extremely lightweight! The heaviest pair of our earrings weighs less than 0.2 ounces (less than the weight of one US quarter). Our large barrettes and bracelets weigh around 0.6 ounces (about the weight of three US quarters). Our ornaments all vary in weight, but the heaviest weigh around 1.5 ounces (about the weight of a slice of bread).

Can I wear my jewelry in the shower?

Polymer clay itself is waterproof, so it can certainly be worn in the shower or to wash your hands! To extend the life of your jewelry you should avoid wearing it in a pool, ocean, or lake, or around water-based chemicals. Sterling silver and 14K gold-fill can tarnish if exposed to too much water or moisture, so please keep your jewelry dry as much as possible.

How can I care for my jewelry?

Your polymer clay jewelry is lightweight, flexible, and perfect for everyday wear. However please take care when handling it as you would any other delicate item and follow these tips to extend the life of your jewelry. To clean your items, dip a Q-tip in rubbing alcohol and gently wipe it over make-up, dirt, or lint to remove. Although polymer clay is flexible, refrain from excessively bending your pieces. Store items in a dry location away from moisture and humidity. If tarnishing occurs on metal components, gently wipe with a polishing cloth or soap and water.

I have sensitive ears. Is your jewelry OK for me?

Yes! Nickel is the most common metal allergy, and all of our metal jewelry components are nickel-free. If you are looking for a specific metal such as titanium, argentium silver, 14K gold-filled, or sterling silver, please read the "Materials" section of each product listing to see which metal is used for that specific item.

I found an item that I want but it is sold out! What should I do?

Please make a note of the item name and color and e-mail us at olimclayco@gmail.com. Most of the time we will be able to restock the item for you! The majority of our designs are made-to-order, which means they are made especially for you once you place an order. Occasionally our jewelry is made as small batches, which means we will not be able to produce more of that same item. We suggest following Olim Clay Co. on Instagram or Facebook, or subscribing to the newsletter, to make sure you do not miss any new releases!

Where will you ship?

Currently all Olim Clay Co. products can be shipped to the United States and Canada. If you are located elsewhere but interested in purchasing, please send an e-mail to olimclayco@gmail.com and we will look into it! If you are unsure whether prices are displayed in the correct currency for your location, scroll down to the bottom of the homepage and select the currency you'd like to display (currently valid for USD and CAD).

Will you provide gift wrap?

Yes! You can select to add gift wrapping to any purchase at checkout. Items will be wrapped in recyclable kraft paper with a hand-stamped tree ring pattern, and tied with a green raffia ribbon bow. If you'd like a handwritten note to be sent with your gift, please include the exact message in the gift message box at checkout.
